Zambia

Zambia is landlocked in Central Africa, so diving takes place in freshwater lakes. Zambia has the largest water resources in the whole of southern Africa with 5 huge lakes and 18 extraordinary waterfalls, including the famous Victoria Falls. Lake Tanganyika is a popular diving site in Zambia, which is the second largest freshwater lake and second deepest in the world. The lake is divided between 4 countries, with excellent visibility and well known for aquarium fish attracts divers. The age of the lake and lack of sea access leads to the evolution of unique fish populations with over 250 types cyclid and 600 endemic fish concentrated mainly in the Zambian waters of the lake.
